Hi! I’m Clarise Phillips.
I’m a Film and Television graduate with a particular interest in editing and post-production. I enjoy the process of shaping raw material into a clear, engaging story, whether that means finding the right pace for a dramatic scene, building tension through sound and rhythm, or simply knowing when to let a moment breathe.
My experience spans narrative, factual, and short-form work, including roles as an Editor, Assistant Editor, and DiT. I primarily work with Avid Media Composer, having transitioned from Adobe Premiere Pro as I became increasingly interested in professional film and television post-production workflows. I am currently enjoying learning more about DaVinci Resolve and After Effects.
Alongside my university projects, I have had the opportunity to shadow professional editors at Channel 4, which gave me a greater understanding of the collaborative, technical and organisational side of working in an edit environment.
I’m currently looking to begin my career in professional post-production, particularly in editorial, edit assisting and post-production roles. My long-term goal is to continue developing as an editor and work across film and television projects where story, performance and emotion sit at the centre of the edit.
